Alberta Ferretti woman

After spending over 45 years as artistic director for her self-titled brand, Alberta Ferretti is still as passionate as ever. Her truly unique and recognisable style makes her the face of refined and delicate silhouettes. Raised by her dressmaker mother who taught her the basics from a young age, Ferretti first went into retail, opening her first boutique Jollyin Cattolica (Rimini province). It stocked pieces from the most loved couture houses, from Giorgio Armani to Versace, and her own designs. With increasing success, her self-titled brand launched in 1974. The accomplished businesswoman also founded the AEFFE group in 1980 with her brother Massimo. Now, the manufacturer/distributor is an international fashion giant, responsible for brands such as Moschino, Jeremy Scott, Cédric Charlier and of course, Alberta Ferretti. Soon after, she opened her first showroom in Milan and started presenting her collections during the local Fashion Week. The brand's sophisticated and feminine grace, accentuated by fine materials, embroidery and draped fabrics, captivated a glamorous and fashionable clientele. Her designs were red carpet favourites thanks to their simplicity and understated elegance. In 2005, the label's splendour was heightened once more when it unveiled its first couture collection, followed by Haute Couture designs presented in Paris ten years later.
