The embodiment of the American dream against a backdrop of rock'n'roll music, Amiri is the favorite brand of all of Hollywood and well beyond. A reflection of the atypical personality of its founder Mike Amiri with an address book as long as his arm. Raised by parents who immigrated from Iran, the aspiring designer spent his adolescence in the beautiful neighborhoods of Los Angeles and made his first piece at the age of 13: a jacket with a patch of the metal band Mötley Crüe sewn on its reverse. An anecdote as a prophecy of the universe which would later characterize his eponymous label. It was in 2014 that the latter saw the light of day in the basement of a Thai restaurant located on Sunset Boulevard: a place which at first seems improbable and which nevertheless perfectly represents the approach of the brand, between unconventional grunge and worldly glamour. The young designer began his rise to fame by handcrafting unique models for Axl Rose and Steven Tyler, respective singers of the iconic rock groups Guns N'Roses and Aerosmith. Rich in this experience, he then focused on his own creations which were quickly offered at Maxfield, the trendy concept store in LA. Surrounded by skateboarders, graffiti artists, musicians and famous athletes, Mike Amiri created in less than five years , the feat of making his brand the benchmark for luxury streetwear, adopted by Brad Pitt, Jay-Z, Michael B. Jordan, Justin Bieber and even Future. An acclaimed performance at the 2019 CFDA Fashion Awards with his nomination as Menswear Designer of the Year. The key ingredients of this success? Materials carefully selected and worked using signature deconstruction techniques which give rise to silhouettes that fit perfectly into the urban and relaxed aesthetic of the city of angels. Leather jackets with a vintage look, ankle boots with buckles adorned with bandanas, flannel shirts and bomber jackets make up Amiri wardrobe. The emblematic ones? Ripped biker jeans and t-shirts with bullet holes, guaranteeing an irreverent and effortless look that could be compared to a current version of Jim Morrison's wardrobe.
