What led one of the world's most brilliant stem cell experts to found his cosmetics brand? Answer: the desire to help even more people. Since his beginnings in the medical world in 1988, German professor Augustinus Bader has always been interested in tissues. After visits to medical centers in Switzerland, the United States and also China, the doctor found the subject that would define his career: the healing of burns. Because if the skin tends to regenerate on its own in the event of a cut, this is not the case when elle is burned. A riddle that the scientist has been trying to answer for more than thirty years now, notably through more than two hundred patented technologies. The goal? Train the skin to regenerate on its own, from the inside, without having to go through a graft, a process that is both costly and not without danger.
But all this progress comes at a price. And this is where cosmetics comes into play. In the mid-2010s, Augustinus Bader was approached by Charles Rosier, a businessman known for his numerous investments in the field of research. His idea is simple: propose to the professor at the University of Leipzig to adapt his discoveries to the general public in order to be able to finance more clinical trials for his studies. After two years and after more than glowing feedback following his prototypes, the scientist agreed to be tempted: in 2018, his eponymous brand was born and quickly enjoyed flourishing success. Popular with celebrities, his products are popular and attract the attention of Victoria Beckham , who calls on him to develop her skincare line. And since true beauty lies above all in sharing, 10% of the brand's profits are donated to the Augustinus Bader Foundation, which aims to help finance the hospitalization and rehabilitation of certain patients.
