At a time when environmental problems are taking up more and more space in daily life, fashion is trying to go green. And if the big names have already started to reduce their carbon footprint and use recycled materials, the young guard is also on the scene. The proof with Entoure , a brand of upcycled belts which was launched in 2018. Founded by Amélie Kaszuba, the young French brand was born on the outskirts of the capital, in Pantin. The concept ? Collect scraps of leather that would otherwise have ended up in the trash from la Réserve des Arts, an association that sells recycled materials at low prices and transform them into belts. For what ? Because, as its creator points out, leather crosses times and trends. And that one well-constructed accessory that we wear every day is worth ten that will never come out of the closet. His credo? Making sustainability desirable. And elle knows what elle talking about. Trained at HEC, Amélie Kaszuba began her career as a press officer at Havas Groupe. Then moving to Louis Vuitton , elle multiplied her experiences, sometimes being a buyer, sometimes a merchandiser, sometimes a marketing manager. Countless hats which then led her to Jérôme Dreyfuss , then John Galliano. It was there, with her teams, elle really discovered the work of leather artisans and that elle focused on la ceinture .
In 2018, elle launched her first collection, composed of four models: The Knotted, The Knotted 60, The Double and The Versatile. Made without a buckle and closed with buttons, these elegant pieces are available in shades and finishes that vary according to the designer's findings, who then offer them numbered and in limited edition. The greenest way to tighten la ceinture .
