Germanier Woman
If so-called responsible fashion is the norm today, this was not the case just a few years ago. However, it is an ideology to which Kevin Germanier has always adhered, as much out of conviction as out of need. Born in Switzerland, it was during his training at Central Saint Martins College (London) that he discovered the tips and tricks that allowed him to create a collection at a lower cost: reusing sheets or blankets bought in bulk or second hand, he imagines pieces that already meet his very particular aesthetic. Continuing his journey, he joined Louis Vuitton , where he refined his training, while continuing to work on his eponymous label. But Kevin Germanier 's other strength lies in his work with beads. Also upcycled, they allow him to imagine unique models whose particular details immediately evoke his brand. Inventive, the designer has notably developed a “silicone embroidery” technique, which allows him to work more quickly while creating pieces that uniquely resemble him. A family affair, the Germanier brand also has the particularity of employing several of the designer's relatives, starting with his mother and grandmother, who help make the house's knitted pieces. The future has never looked so colorful.
