Havaianas Women
Founded in 1962 in Brazil, Havaianas quickly won the hearts of consumers around the world with its famous flip-flops. Inspired by Zori, the traditional Japanese sandals made with fabric straps and woven rice straw soles, Havaianas are made from soft, durable rubber. They feature a distinctive grain of rice pattern on their sole, recalling their origins. Originally intended for Brazilian workers, Havaianas were simple, inexpensive shoes available only in blue and white. In 1969, a production error gave rise to green pairs which were an instant success with consumers.
