Like learned chemists, Fabrice Penot and Edouard Roschi mix essential oils, distilled water, natural materials and alcohol to create authentic perfumes, as opposed to monolithic scents. Le Labo was born in Grasse, the capital of perfumery, but it was in New York that the founders opened their first store in 2006. Together, they invent their own language, free from all conventions and outside of traditional commercial strategy processes. Le Labo does everything it can to beautify everyday life by creating unique sensory experiences and has been working for fifteen years to offer atypical juices, formulated around the best essences. In a modern approach to “slow perfumery”, the brand works with a community of artisans who help shape its world: the perfumer, the laboratory worker, the person who pours our candles, the rose picker...

Each boutique is designed like a laboratory and offers a “fashion backstage” experience. The perfumers create the formulas before the eyes of visitors and invite you to touch the materials used and smell the juices to awaken the entire olfactory system. Each fragrance has its own name made up of a flower, a number and the number of ingredients while the label of each bottle is personalized with the name of the customer. A tailor-made concept which explains the success of bestsellers such as Sandalwood 33, the favorite scent of countless hotels and shops or even Pink 31 notably worn by Philippe Starck. Since 2014, Le Labo has been owned by the Estée Lauder group and continues to enchant the world by offering its know-how in a line of candles and body lotions.
