Inspired by Bay Rum, a liqueur coveted by sailors once traveling the Caribbean, dark rum is a refreshing variation. In this scented candle from the cult American label MALIN+GOETZ , plum and blackberry rub shoulders with bergamot but also notes of leather, rum of course and creamy milk. Note that its natural wax burns slowly and without harmful fumes.

Trim the wick to 0.6 cm before each use. Place on a non-flammable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from drafts and walls. Allow to burn for at least 2 or 3 hours upon first use. Do not let it burn for more than 3 hours in a row during subsequent uses. Stop using when only 1.3 cm of wax remains.
