Malone Souliers

The story of Malone Souliers begins in 2013, when Mary Alice Malone and Roy Luwolt met over dinner in Shoreditch (London). The next day, the duo met for a first business meeting and decided to found their shoe brand. The latter will see the light of day in February 2014, with Mary Alice Malone as artistic director and Roy Luwolt at the helm of the business. Together, they built the foundations of a house that soon became one of the most promising young shoe brands in the industry. Having completed the prestigious Cordwainers course at the London College of Fashion, the American designer had initially studied furniture design in Colorado. A rich and eclectic background which allows him today to draw parallels between the two fields and to arrive at a general conclusion: furniture like shoes must be functional before being elegant. Building on this philosophy, elle designs shoes that are both comfortable to porter and refined, cut from rich and original materials while adopting a zero waste approach. In just a few seasons, the label has attracted the good graces of numerous celebrities, from Amal Clooney to Solange Knowles via Emma Roberts.
Solely at the helm of the brand since 2018, Mary Alice Malone reworks the flagship models each year in different materials and colors, in addition to new seasonal additions. Among its classics, the house notably includes the Maureen mule, with a pointed toe and whose wavy upper is adorned with two strategically placed straps for unrivaled comfort and hold, as well as Maisie, another kitten heel mule whose instep is adorned with a contrasting strap. Constantly evolving, the brand's aesthetic is now tailored to meet the demands of the modern, active woman.
