Many designers fall into fashion somewhat by chance. This is particularly the case of the duo behind the Polish streetwear brand MISBHV . Natalia Maczek and Thomas Wirski were indeed not predestined to become clothing designers. The first, a law student who grew up in Krakow, discovered fashion during a stay in London where elle did odd summer jobs. Back in Poland, elle started creating t-shirts for her friends. Wishing to go further, elle enrolled at the Royal College of Fashion in London, was accepted, but never set foot there, the business having taken off in the meantime. The second, a law student and also raised in Krakow, had been a DJ and music producer since the age of 17. Together, they have made MISBHV one of the biggest names in streetwear fashion today, alongside VETEMENTS and Gosha Rubchinskiy in particular. After a first presentation in Paris in 2015 (carried out without any contact, by renting a simple space), the duo earned their stripes within the fashion scene, unveiling their collections during New York Fashion Week and more recently, Paris . Anchored in the hip-hop and club scene of the 1990s, the aesthetics of the MISBHV brand take up the main codes while playing on the signs of recognition of luxury. Thus, the monogram rubs shoulders with the logo, the most innovative materials or even cuts that are both sporty and sexy. And if all the pieces are made in Poland (a must, according to les créateurs who, based in Warsaw, believe that it is one of the best production sites), the materials are sourced elle different way: Portugal, France, Italy... each country has its own specialty. And it pays off! Offering quality collections at affordable prices and with unique designs, MISBHV has already established itself as a reference in streetwear, acclaimed by celebrities but also the public.
