The greatest careers are parfois the result of chance and the world of fashion is no exception. If Michael Kors and Jonathan Anderson initially intended for acting, jewelry designer Suhani Parekh elle decided to move towards sculpture. It was in London, at Goldsmiths University, that this native of Mumbai, India, studied fine arts but also art history. Graduating in 2013, elle then pursued several careers: elle worked with an architect, looked after the windows of the family store and was employed in an art gallery. But jewelry is never far away. After realizing that her creations had more weight worn on the human body than on a marble base, elle created personal pieces that quickly attracted the attention of her friends. When the latter asked her for copies in order to display them themselves, Suhani Parekh decided to found her label. Named Misho , in reference to an ancient bonsai shaping technique, the jewelry brand was created in 2016. Strongly inspired by architecture, the designer says she is as much influenced by Bauhaus as by Japanese minimalism. Graphic, daring, oversized, Misho jewelry is made of silver. A conscious choice by the designer, who associates this metal with jewelry and finds it more malleable, shinier and endowed with a pleasant density to work with. Parfois polished, parfois gold-plated and parfois decorated with pearls, the precious metal complies with all the requirements of the designer who has already built up a nice clientele of regulars, famous or not. Among the best known: Kendall Jenner, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Deepika Padukone. So many ambassadors who promise to make the brand's success even more.
