The philosophy of the Printworks brand? Rethinking the most everyday objects in order to transform them into luxury pieces. Founded in Stockholm in 2016 by Annette Gårdö and Patrik Westerdahl, two former advertisers, the brand aims to encourage its consumers to disconnect from their computers and phones and rediscover the pleasure of spending time together, far from screens. Helped by a team of creative people with a keen vision, the duo revisits great classics such as Backgammon, chess or even dominoes, which are equipped here with packaging as refined as it is refined and which will blend in wonderfully with any interiors, from the most minimalist to the most sophisticated.
But loners are not left out with storage boxes with fabric-covered exteriors, photo albums that look like coffee table books as well as elegant stationery items. And since technology is never far away, the brand also offers phone cases and laptop sleeves. As delicate as other home products, these tech accessories are the guarantee of a world where functionality is skillfully combined with aesthetics.
Concerned about its environmental footprint, Printworks also tends to minimize the packaging of its products or at least to make it as attractive as its items, so that it too becomes a functional and/or decorative object in its own right.
