From her Moroccan origins to her French inspirations, Martine Sitbon marks her era. An emblematic figure of fashion in the 1980s and 1990s, elle slowly established herself in the landscape by working for major brands made in France and internationally, before founding her own in 1986. When it closed in 2004, Martine Sitbon became more discreet, without completely withdrawing from the fashion scene. And it is in 2023, almost 20 years later, that elle embarks on a new adventure. By teaming up with the brothers Laurent and Arik Bitton, founders of the Iro label, Martine Sitbon inaugurated REV, a women's ready-to- porter brand. To create their first signature collection, the stylist was inspired by pieces from her former brand from the 1980s. Rock, androgynous, contemporary. “Revisiting the past towards the future” is his credo for imagining the REV wardrobe. To do this, the trio of designers strives to use noble and sustainable materials such as virgin wool, silk, cotton and even leather. Colorful and offbeat, REV pieces reinterpret the iconic feminine silhouette of the 1980s-1990s while modernizing it. The draping is meticulous, the materials are fluid and wardrobe classics are revisited, such as the miniskirt, the blazer, the evening dress or even jeans.
