La nouvelle favorite brand of American rappers and NBA players is called RHUDE . Founded in 2015 by Rhuigi Villaseñor, elle stands out in the world of luxury streetwear through its multiple cultural references. Born in the Philippines, the designer spent his enfance in several places around the world, from Hong Kong to Saudi Arabia and Thailand before settling in the United States at the age of eleven. His interest in fashion developed with his seamstress mother who taught him the basics of constructing a garment. After studying art history, Rhuigi Villaseñor completed an internship with designer Shaun Samson with whom he completed his apprenticeship. Unable to afford the clothes he wanted porter , the young talent created RHUDE, which takes its name from a family tradition consisting of choosing names starting with R and H as well as Rhuigi Villaseñor's desire to rebel against the strict education he received. A modern and personal sociological reflection, the brand's journey is strongly influenced by nostalgic references to its founder's homeland, mixed with American iconographies. His bandana pattern t-shirt will pave the way for success when it is worn by Kendrick Lamar at the Grammy Awards ceremony. Snoop Dog, Big Sean, Offset, Bella Hadid and a multitude of other celebrities will also succumb to RHUD E pieces. For this Spring-Summer 2021 season, the collection entitled “The audacity to dream” is tinged with utopia and humor and uses iconic models from the brand. Elle is made up of pieces punctuated with offbeat messages like the t-shirt characterized by the colorful illustration of two skeletons relaxing on deck chairs surrounded by cacti. A casual and unisex wardrobe dotted with fantasy for everyone looking for an everyday life punctuated with lightness.
