Just 19 years old when they launched their label in 2014, Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts have proven that freshness and spontaneity are essential qualities for success in the fashion business. Met in kindergarten, the two friends always wanted to create something together. Influenced by their parents (all independent) and advised by Barbara 's father, at the head of a successful brand, they let their creativity speak without asking questions. Their idea: to create the colorful coats that they wanted porter but couldn't find anywhere. Prejudice number 2: never start without a good education. Due to their youth, the two friends founded their brand while being simple students. If Cathrine had basic sewing skills, Barbara was elle learning art history. Since then, Cathrine has obtained a diploma in fashion design and tailoring while Barbara followed several sessions at the Central Saint Martins School in London. Prejudice number 3: a single product is not enough to build an aesthetic. The brand's flagship piece is none other than a coat. First creation from the duo, who declined it in several colors for its initial collection, the Febbe, a fluffy piece in colorful shearling has taken over the wardrobes of the most fashionable influencers and forged the reputation of Saks Potts . Enough to allow them to develop other models which have since also sparked, like the Foxy, (other) coat enhanced with fur (real or fake), popular with Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Kendall Jenner and Katy Perry. Prejudice number 4: it is imperative to follow the fashion cycle to succeed. Here, again, Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts played with conventions. Rather than dividing their creations into collections, the two designers prefer to offer numbered lines, which do not necessarily follow the cycle of the seasons. Better still, they do their utmost to reduce production time in order to get closer to the See Now, Buy Now model.
