A true fashion prodigy, Victor Weinsanto caused a sensation for the first time by opening Paris Fashion Week for the Spring Summer 2023 season. A taste of the gentle madness of this young designer who, at only 29 years old, already dares everything , parading the Drag Queens Paloma and La Grande Dame, respectively winner and finalist of the French version of Drag Race by the famous Ru Paul. Victor Weinsanto seduces with his enchanting universe where burlesque and contemporary mix, often paying homage to the great Thierry Mugler . Born in Souffelweyersheim near Strasbourg, Victor Weinsanto was passionate about classical dance from the age of 4 and joined a prestigious school in Stuttgart at just 13 years old. Realizing, however, that this rigor and this lack of freedom do not suit him, the young Alsatian spends his free time watching and deciphering fashion shows on social networks. It was at the dawn of his 18th birthday that the young man decided to change his vocation and found himself at the Atelier Chardon Savard, making his debut with the couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier. In 2020, after leaving the prestigious fashion house of fashion's “L'Enfant terrible”, Victor Weisanto launched his eponymous brand with an exuberant and unusual style. There we find XXL headdresses, silhouettes tied up with braids, oversize and asymmetrical styles of all kinds. Weinsanto's art is as aesthetic as it is militant, normalizing the inclusiveness of ages, bodies, genders and ethnicities without putting aside environmental and societal issues. For his brand, the designer has also chosen to partner with Nona Source, an online deadstock platform. A commitment recently praised by Forbes magazine which cited him among the 30 personalities under 30 creating the future of fashion and art in Europe. Queen Beyonce also chose one of her looks for her “Renaissance World Tour” in May 2023.
